Second-season-of-made-in-abyss
The PV returns the focus to the new supporting characters that will be part of the story along with the protagonists Reg, Riko and Nanachi (see below).
The anime is in the hands of the studio Kinema Citrus (the same one of "Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari") that adapted the series from the beginning. The closing song will be called "Endless Embrace" performed by the group Myth & Roid.
Blending charismatic and childlike design with drama, mystery and fantasy Made In Abyss tells the story of little Riko who travels the depths of a dangerous abyss in search of her missing mother.
She has the support of fellow android Reg, whose existence is linked to the location, and the character Nanachi encountered by them during the journey.
The series premiered way back in 2017 (13 episodes) followed by three movies. The first two released in 2019 recapped the story while the third, aired in 2020 with the title "Fukaki Tamashii no Reimei", continued the plot.
This Season 2 titled Made in Abyss: Retsujitsu no Ogonkyou (MA: The Golden City and the Burning Sun) will therefore be the continuation of these productions. The anime will have Masayuki Kojima returning as general director, Hideyuki Kurata on script by Kise Kazuchika on character design.
The voice cast includes the likes of Miyu Tomita (Riko), Mariya Ise (she voices Reg) and Shiori Izawa (she plays Nanachi).
The series is based on the manga by author Akihito Tsukushi.
