"Made in Abyss Season 2" gets trailer and illustration revealing new characters!
Announced in May this year through an event, the 2nd season of Made in Abyss today released a new trailer and themed image. The premiere will take place in 2022 with a specific date not yet mentioned. The video features in the final seconds the protagonists already known: Rego, Riko and Nanachi. However, most of the trailer is intended for new characters that will be part of the sequel.
Thus, the voice cast will have additions: Fapta will be played by Misaki Kuno (the Frederica of "86"), Vueco will be voiced by Yuka Terasaki (the Chidori of "Kiznaiver"), Wazukan will be voiced by Hiroaki Hirata (the Sanji of " One Piece") and Belaf will be played by Mitsuki Saiga (the Opera of "Mairimashita! Iruma-kun"). In case you don't know, Made in Abyss is a manga by author Akihito Tsukushi released in 2012. The work won its first anime in 2017 (13 episodes) very well received due to the story that mixed charismatic and childish visuals with drama and dark fantasy. Later came 3 films. The first two released in 2019 recapped the anime, while the third, aired in 2020 with the title "Fukaki Tamashii no Reimei", brought the story sequence.
