Ame-wo-tsugeru-hyouryuu-danchi
Announced 9 months ago, Ame wo Tsugeru Hyouryuu Danchi (Storm Drift Housing Project) received another PV today confirming its debut on September 16, 2022.
The new film from the Colored studio will be directed by Hiroyasu Ishida (director of "Penguin Highway") and will be streamed worldwide through Netflix.
In the West, the feature film will be titled Drifting Home and will include the theme song "Summer Withered", inspired by the nostalgic Japanese city pop of the 1980s.
The story will mix friendship and supernatural elements following a group of children fighting for survival. They are isolated in a housing project that floats on the water, the result of a mysterious storm that occurred in the summer.
Founded in 2011 by Hideo Uda, the Colored studio was responsible for previous feature films such as "Penguin Highway" (2018) and "Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu" (2020).
