Shoujo comedy Watashi no Yuri wa Oshigoto desu! confirms rumor and will receive anime

The shoujo comedy Watashi no Yuri wa Oshigoto desu! anime is in production according to an announcement made a few hours ago in Japan.

With a trailer already revealed but still no premiere date, the series is in the hands of studios Passione and Lings. The twitter account has since been lifted and the previously leaked website "www.watayuri-anime.com" has been confirmed as the official address for series updates.

The anime will be directed by Hijiri Sanpei (directed the fun "Joshikousei no Mudazukai") and character design by Taisuke Iwasaki (was animation director on "Hanamonogatari").

In the dub Hime will be voiced by Yui Ogura (the Onna Shinkan from "Goblin Slayer") while Mitsuki will be played by Sumire Uesaka (the Shalltear from "Overlord").

Although it has the word "Yuri" in the title, the series seems more comedy-oriented following the character Hime Shirasaki. Since she was little, she was always praised for her beauty and in that way she came up with a "success plan". Hime pretends to be a polite and kind teenager in order to win over some billionaire and secure a future full of fame and wealth.

But one day she accidentally trips on the stairs and falls on Mai, a girl who is actually the manager of a strange all-female coffee shop. Realizing that Hime would make a beautiful employee, Mai pretends to have hurt her arm and practically forces her to replace her.

There is only one problem! The Liebe cafeteria is a place where the girls pretend to be demure, polite and unusually affectionate when after work they let out unfriendly behavior.

The anime is based on the manga written and illustrated by Miman that began in 2018 and will receive the 10th volume on May 18.
